The drug and metabolite section at the department of forensic medicine Aarhus University offers analytical services based on state-of-the-art equipment and highly skilled staff members with extensive experience in developing reliable and highly sensitive methods.
We provide quantitative measurements of small molecules such as prescribed drugs and drugs of abuse, as well as endogenous metabolites (e.g. amino acids and ketone bodies) in biological samples. Most assays are developed for measurements in blood (full blood, plasma, or serum) and tissue (e.g. liver, muscle, and brain tissue) but measurements in other matrices such as cell lysates and media are often also possible.
